Developments in smart surgery are being enabled by advances in sensor and visualization technologies, the adoption of novel contrast agents, improvements in the provision of localized power and enhanced infrastructure for wireless communications.

A key area where we are seeing significant opportunity is in real time tissue sensing, which can be used for applications including critical structure detection, tumor tissue visualization, optimized implant positioning, physiological data overlay, tissue characterisation and monitoring of tissue healing.
