Our modern campus-style headquarters at Harston Mill is less than six miles from the historic city centre of Cambridge with good bus, rail and road links. Our US headquarters are in downtown Cambridge, MA.

Career paths

At the beginning of a consultant's career, the role will involve technical, managerial and commercial elements allowing individuals to develop a good set of core skills and to get a feel for what works and which aspects of the role they want to develop further going forward.

At the Senior Consultant career stage, a consultant continues to build on core skills but is able to specialise. Choose to be a technical, management or commercial expert. Each of these 3 specialist threads will be supported and developed within the business. Defining outline specialist competences and responsibilities allows development of expertise which is used to enhance the work we do and develops our market presence.

 

Professional development

Our employees are our greatest asset so we are committed to career development making a focused effort to offer bespoke training and mentoring to allow each individual to thrive within their environment and realise personal potential. As part of our training programme, we also use the Executive Education programme at the University of Cambridge Judge Business School.

Beyond formal training employees also lead informal lunchtime sessions on a regular basis to enable knowledge and skills transfer amongst our teams.

Graduates

We offer a range of graduate roles such as physicists, mechanical engineers, electronic/software engineers, scientists and analysts. You will have the opportunity to work alongside experience consultants and technical experts in the company who will assist your learning and development.

 

Graduate development scheme

We have a bespoke training plan and competency framework in place to support the scheme and we aim to give graduates a rounded view of the business and exposure to all our key offerings within their first year at Sagentia.

We encourage graduates to regularly gain feedback from team members, project managers and peers to help with continued development. We also expect you to be proactive and work closely with your manager to identify and plan areas of development, helping you to fulfil your potential.
