Sagentia Innovation can help solve critical challenges facing the instrumentation sector

Our experience working with instrumentation businesses includes helping Brooks Instrument develop a model of their thermal mass flow meter product, enabling them to rapidly fine-tune key design parameters and provide Brookes with a better understanding of its own and competing products. We’ve also helped an instrumentation company - an equipment supplier to the biopharma industry - develop their biopharma strategy to better understand where to focus for future success. We helped them by defining target market segments, refining product and service offerings and identifying partnerships to deliver opportunities, including acquisition targets.

Our cross-sector expertise, particularly in extensive medical device development capability, provides many areas of synergy with the needs and challenges of instrumentation. We have helped Intelligent Fingerprinting develop a portable drug testing device by eradicating moving parts from the device to enhance robustness and focus on a streamlined, user-friendly interface that makes the device suitable for a wider range of applications and use settings.

As with many other sectors, there is a push within instrumentation to collect, analyse and generate value from data. We’re able to help our clients define their connected devices and data services strategy, as we did with a food and beverage processing equipment manufacturer. In this case, our client was not an early adopter of IoT and was facing growing competition from larger players who were promoting remote monitoring and preventative maintenance services. Our role was to help them navigate this space, creating a clear strategy and roadmap around which multiple stakeholders could align. Our technical expertise and IoT experience ensured the client had confidence in our proposed plans, again enabling the organisation to align with a coherent technology vision.
