Martyn Ratcliffe
Chairman
Martyn was appointed Chairman on 15 April 2010 following his investment in Sagentia. He has been Chairman of Microgen plc since 1998, previous to which he was senior vice president and general manager of Dell Computer Corporation, responsible for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. Martyn has a degree in Physics from the University of Bath and an MBA from the City University, London.
Brent Hudson
Chief Executive Officer
Brent joined Sagentia in 2009 bringing with him extensive senior
executive expertise, particularly in growing technology-focused
companies in both the UK and USA. He qualified as a management
accountant in 1985 and began his career working in financial management
for FTSE-listed companies before moving to KPMG management consulting
where he worked as a management consultant specialising in marketing
and strategic consulting. He gained an MBA from Cranfield University
whilst working at KPMG.
Since then, Brent has held either senior or board-level roles
at technology-led companies including Cambridge-based electronic
product developers Symbionics Ltd. and Tality (UK) Ltd. (both are
subsidiaries of NASDAQ-quoted Cadence Design Systems Inc.), QinetiQ
Group PLC, the FTSE-listed leading international provider of
technology-based services and solutions to the defence, security and
related markets, and more recently as CEO of Beach Solutions Ltd.
Neil Elton
Finance Director
Neil joined Sagentia in August 2010. Neil has extensive experience in the media, PR and healthcare sectors and has worked for a number of international and listed companies.
Until June 2010 Neil was Finance Director at Concateno plc, an AIM listed company until it was acquired in August 2009. Concateno provides medical testing services and grew rapidly, both organically and through several acquisitions. Prior to Concateno Neil was Finance Director of Mecom Group plc, an acquisitive European media group, and prior to that Group Finance Manager at Huntsworth plc, a global PR consultancy.
Neil has a degree in Geography from Oxford University and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen.
David Courtley
Non-executive Director
David was appointed a non-executive Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee on 15 April 2010. From 2001 to 2008, he was Chief Executive of Fujitsu Services. David has a degree in Mathematics from Imperial College, London.
Professor Keith Glover
Non-executive Director
Keith was appointed a non-executive Director on 1 October 2011. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society, a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering.
Keith was elected to a Professorship of Engineering at Cambridge University in 1989, a position that he still retains. He has a BSc in Electrical Engineering from Imperial College, London and a PhD from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
