In optical technology, we have created sensors, modulators, instruments and entire businesses that use advanced optical and opto-electronic techniques. We have developed a free-space optical technology (using a patented approach based on a retro-reflective modulator), which can be used in low cost, point-to-multipoint networks, and has the potential to support mobile applications at speeds in excess of 1Gbit/sec.
