Access to electrical energy has been a fact of life in the industrialised world for more than 50 years. However, for much of this time our dominant electrical energy supply experience has been via large utility grids. We have been able to tap directly into the real-time generation of power from large centralised power plants. Times are changing and people demand more flexible access to power.
