Dr Alistair Brown

Chief Executive Officer, Sagentia

Alistair was appointed as Chief Executive in 2008. Alistair joined Sagentia in 2000 and previously had responsibility for global Sales and Marketing, as well as being Geschäftsführer of Sagentia GmbH with direct responsibility for Sagentia’s business in the German speaking countries. He has particular experience in the exploitation of technology assets and technology transfer.  Much of his commercial and technical experience has been gained working with mainland European organisations at director level.  He has a first class degree in Physics and Chemistry and a PhD which involved research in high speed, high resolution image acquisition systems.

Dan Flicos

Executive Director, Sagentia

Dan holds the role of Commercial Director for Sagentia.  His primary area of interest is in the development of breakthrough products and has previous experience of radar signal processors and image processing systems. Dan joined Sagentia in 1993 and spent three years in the US running Sagentia’s Baltimore office which specialises in medical device development.  He has a first degree and a masters degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, both from Bath University.

Guy McCarthy

Chief Financial Officer, Sagentia Ltd

Guy joined Sagentia in 1990 and is responsible for the financial operations of the Sagentia group of companies.  He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PriceWaterhouse in London in 1987, and remained with them as a manager until joining Sagentia. He has a degree in Mathematics from Bath University and completed an MBA with the Open University in 2001.

Paul Fearis

President, Sagentia Inc

Paul joined Sagentia in 1996 from industrial design consultancy PDD where he was Technology & Communications Director. He moved to the USA in 2001 to help build Sagentia’s newly acquired medical business in Baltimore. Business development responsibilities were followed by his leadership of Sagentia’s Design Led Innovation group. Paul was appointed President of Sagentia Inc in 2006. He holds Masters Degrees in Product Design and Industrial Design Engineering from Cranfield University and the Royal College of Art respectively.

Dr Eva Fontes

Managing Director, Sagentia Catella

Eva joined Sagentia Catella in 2000 as consultant and was appointed Managing Director in 2003. Eva is a graduate of the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm where she gained an MSc in Chemical Engineering. She went on to receive a PhD from KTH in Electrochemical Engineering in 2000.  Before undertaking her PhD, Eva worked for Volvo in Gothenburg on fuel cells and batteries for automotive applications.

Dr Tim Moore

Chief Executive Officer, SGAI Tech Ltd

Tim joined Sagentia in 2001 and was appointed to his current position in 2005 following the establishment of Sagentia’s joint venture SGAI Tech Ltd. Prior to Sagentia, Tim co-founded Phenomenon Group plc which subsequently created OnMedica, an internet medical information company. Tim has a degree in Physics with Electronics from the University of Birmingham.  He was awarded a PhD from the University of Cambridge for his work on the design and fabrication of semiconductor devices.
